October Design Solutions
Named after the balmy, post-monsoon month of October — which reminds founder Akruti Mehra of ‘parties, gifts, invites and joyful anticipation’ thanks to it being her birthday month — October Design Solutions is a one-stop design and décor studio. Driven by her love for branding, typography and cute-as-a-button packaging, Akruti launched her brand to give wings to her dreams, before she could design yours.

About Akruti Mehra
Lorinda Mamo once said, “Every great design begins with an even better story.” For Akruti Mehra, founder of October Design Solutions, narrating this story through a visual mood board has always been the part of her job that brings her most joy. An enthusiastic painter since she was a little girl, Akruti pursued graphic design from Symbiosis Institute of Design in Pune, Raffles Design International Mumbai and London College of Communication before launching her brand in 2013. “I’m October-born, and ever since I was a kid, the entire month would have a festive feel for me. Gifts, flowers and cards would be such a source of excitement! When I was launching my brand, I wanted people to experience the same happiness, hence the name,” says Akruti.
Her savoir faire and nuanced design sensibility, which is equal parts elegant and millennial-savvy, extends to bespoke invitations, personalised stationery, desk essentials, logo design and branding. Her latest love affair? Party décor. A seasoned hostess, Akruti found that her themed table settings were always the biggest talking point at her dinner parties. After studying ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangements, she now adds flair to all your celebrations with her keen aesthetics.
